International friends in Wenzhou celebrate the Lantern Festival together!


On the afternoon of Feb. 26, a Chinese-foreign cultural exchange event themed on "Our Festival: Lantern Festival" was held at Wenzhou Overseas Media Center (The International Communication & Social Media Influencer Center of Wenzhou City). This event was jointly hosted by the Wenzhou Information Office and Wenzhou Cyberspace Administration, and organized by Wenzhou Overseas Media Center, the Information Office of Lucheng District Government (Lucheng Cyberspace Administration), Lucheng District Overseas Chinese Federation and Lucheng Rong Media Center, and co-organized by Binjiang Street Yuanhong Cultural Homeland.
 


The guests participating in this cultural exchange event included international friends from more than 10 countries as the United States, South Africa, Mauritius, Zimbabwe, and Pakistan, among whom were foreign teachers from Wenzhou-Kean University, foreign anchors of Wenzhou Overseas Communication Center (The International Communication & Social Media Influencer Center of Wenzhou City) , representatives of international volunteers, international students, etc., as well as Wenzhous folklore expert Zhu Ming, and representatives of Wenzhou overseas communicators from Spain, Portugal, the United States, Russia, Romania and other countries.

 


The "Our Festival: Lantern Festival" event was opened with the African dance performed by African youths.
