This Feb. 26 (Friday), the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, is one of China's traditional festivals - Lantern Festival. This festival is set on the first full-moon night of the new year, meaning a fresh start for the year ahead. It is also the continuation of Chinese people celebrating the new year. The Lantern Festival mainly includes a series of traditional folk activities such as appreciating beautiful lanterns, eating Tangyuan, guessing lantern riddles, and setting off fireworks. In 2008, the Lantern Festival was listed into the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage. 

In order for international friends to better feel and experience the Lantern Festival atmosphere, at 3:00 pm Feb. 26 (Friday), WenzhouDaily will organize an event titled "I’m Celebrating Lantern Festival in Wenzhou", inviting representatives of international friends, representatives of overseas Chinese and Wenzhou folklore experts to participate.
