The survey of “2019 Happiest Cities of China” was themed on “The splendor of 70 years & A new era of happiness”. Since its launch in September this year, 100 prefecture-level (above) cities were selected out as candidates by organizing committee after more than 3 months’ research.  More than 10 trillion bits of sample data were collected and analyzed, covering 9 series of scientific indicators, and 600,000 people received questionnaires.

  After a number of phases of rigorous selections in big data collection, questionnaire survey, material declaration, expert review, etc., 10 cities (Chengdu, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Xi'an, Guangzhou, Changsha, Wenzhou, Taizhou, Tongchuan, and Xuzhou) were elected as the "2019 Happiest Cities of China". Furthermore, Lucheng District of Wenzhou was awarded the title of " District of Happiness and High Employment".
