"E-ticket era" is coming!
What changes have been made in purchasing E-tickets at station ticket windows, sales outlets, and automatic vending machines?
(1) When purchasing tickets through the station ticket windows, sales outlets and automatic ticket vending machines, the windows only print the ticket information sheets, and no paper tickets are issued. The passengers must check the ticket information on the spot.
(2) In case of any change of ticket information or train operation information, the mobile phone numbers of the ticket purchasers or passengers should be provided.
(3) The ticket information sheets are only served as message-tips for passengers’ ticket purchases, and are not used as the valid tickets. After purchasing E-tickets, passengers should directly past through the ticket-checking gates with the original valid ID cards used for the ticket purchases.
(4)If the invoices are requested for reimbursement, passengers have to bring the original valid ID cards used for the ticket purchases to the ticket windows or the automatic ticket vending/collecting machines at stations to apply for the reimbursement certificates before departure or within 30 days from the date of the ride. The reimbursement certificates are not tickets. No seats information are shown on the surface, only the words “for reimbursement only” are included.
How togo through the ticket change & refund procedures for E-tickets?
(1) E-tickets purchased by passengers with electronic payment through the railway ticketing channel can be changed and refunded through the 12306 website (including mobile APP) or the designated windows at the station.
(2) Passengers who have printed the reimbursement certificates or purchased the ticket by cash should go to the designated windows at the station to handle the formal ticket change & refund procedures. If the reimbursement certificates have been printed by passengers, they will be taken back by station staff during the ticket change & refund procedures.
How can passengers get the seats information after purchasing E-tickets?
(1) Passengers who purchased E-tickets through the 12306 website (including mobile APP) could check the seat information at the 12306 accounts, or obtain the information by printing the ticket information sheets at the ticket windows or the automatic ticket vending machines.
(2) Passengers who purchased E-tickets through the station ticket windows, sales outlets or automatic ticket vending machines, could obtain seats information by simultaneously printing the ticket information sheets.
(3) If the reimbursement certificates have been obtained, the seat information could be obtained by Wechat scanning the QR code in the lower right corner of the reimbursement certificates.
(4) If the ticket information sheets are lost, they could be printed again.
How to apply for the real-name system verification for the E-ticket?
(1) Passengers who use resident ID cards, foreign permanent residence ID cards, and residence permits for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents to purchase tickets, could process the real-name system verification through self-service gates or manual channels by carrying the original valid ID cards used in the purchase of tickets.
(2) Passengers who use other documents to purchase tickets, should process the real-name system verification through manual channels by carrying the original valid ID card used in the purchase of tickets.
