Editor's note: Longwan District is a key urban area for the construction of future community in Wenzhou. In 2020, Longwan District (High-tech Zone) has added 293 high-level talents from home and abroad, including 11 top talents. And the number of introduced PhD talents ranks first in Wenzhou. The video series "Foreign Talents in Longwan" sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Longwan District Committee and produced by Wenzhou Overseas Media Center shows Longwan's great achievements in technology, life, culture and other aspects through the perspective of foreign talents. Last month, we released the first episode "Yuki Sato's Happy Weekend". The audience followed the agronomic expert to check out Longwan’s basic infrastructure, feeling the happiness of Longwan. In this video, we will follow Airi N. Kato, a Japanese postdoctoral researcher at the Wenzhou Research Institute, UCAS, to appreciate a “dynamic Longwan” through her scientific research routine.

UCAS is the center of transformation of scientific and technological achievements as well as innovation where researchers promote transformation of scientific achievements based on fundamental innovation. Also, people here focus on the integration of material, medicine and apparatus. UCAS has brought in many outstanding foreign scientific researchers from Harvard University and Cambridge University. Airi from Chiba, Japan is engaged in the research of soft matter physics and active matter here. In our daily life, the necessities such as soap, glue, ink, make-ups  are all belong to soft matter.
