Sumayyah & Hamad take a stroll at the ancient stage on Gongyuan Road

It is reported that since the start of reconstruction of Gongyuan Road in 2019, the affluent cultural deposits of the old town has been fully explored. The well-built “10 scenic spots of Gongyuan Road” have been perfectly incorporated into the cultural scenes with the characteristics of Wenzhou's history and culture. On Oct. 1, 2020, after more than a year of renovation and upgrading, the Gongyuan Road was officially unveiled its mask. The newly built stone road, black tiles, gray walls, lattice windows, pavilions and memorial archways are having unique antique flavors. A sense of “Old Wenzhou” is invisibly oozed from these antiques spots and radiated to all the corners in Gongyuan Road.

Sumayyah & Hamad, the protagonists of this video, said that they have decided to stay in Wenzhou this year during the Spring Festival, and they really like to take a stroll at Gongyuan Road. During the video-shooting, Sumayyah visited the specialty shops on Gongyuan Road and ate the Wenzhou local snack- almond Jelly. She exclaimed: “Wenzhou has so many places worth visiting, especially Wuma Street and Gongyuan Road. I have already felt a strong atmosphere of Chinese New Year. I like it so much!"
