The CCTV documentary "Breakfast in China" Season 2 debuted recently. It focused its camera lens on Wenzhou glutinous rice at the 9th episode. After watching the video, I felt drooling even across the TV screen.

The fully-steamed glutinous rice is sprinkled with crispy, golden slices of deep-fried dough sticks, and dried meat floss. Then, add a spoonful of sauce made with shiitake and minced-meat, and a little chopped green onion into it. So authentic! With the smooth, tender shiitake and crispy dough stick slices, the glutinous rice tastes so soft and cute. It couldn't be better at this moment to have a bowl of soy milk or seaweed soup to supplement the fun.
