Wenzhou is one of the 40 cities which provided 5G network services by China Telecom, China Mobile.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued 5G licenses on June 6thto China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Radio and Television,meaning the four operators are allowed to formally build up 5G networks.
China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom will respectively cover at least 40 cities’ network services this year and willlaunch 5G services in part of these cities.
It is reported that the 40 cities selected by China Mobile are as same as those of China Unicom. Though China Telecom has not disclosed its complete list of the selected 40 cities, Yingtan and Qionghai which are so unique to China Telecom are believed to be among the first batch of 5G cities.
