According to the latest forecast from the meteorological department, Typhoon Saudel, the 18th typhoon of this year, will strongly affect the entire Wenzhou area. The Wenzhou Flood Control, Typhoon Prevention and Drought Relief Headquarters decided to upgrade the typhoon emergency response to Level I at 18:00 on August 27.
Starting from 20:00 on August 27, depending on actual conditions, restrictions will be imposed at the entrances of expressway toll stations in Wenzhou on medium and large passenger vehicles, small and mini vans, dangerous goods transport vehicles, container trucks, and overloaded/high-load cargo vehicles.
To ensure road traffic safety during the typhoon, upon instruction from the Wenzhou Flood Control, Typhoon Prevention and Drought Relief Headquarters, the traffic police will, as circumstances require, impose temporary traffic control on cross-river bridges including the Oujiang North Estuary Bridge, Oujiang South Estuary Bridge, Lingkun Bridge, Qidu Bridge, Ouyue Bridge, Dong’ou Bridge and Oujiang Bridge, restricting the passage of vehicles and pedestrians.
This will affect citizens’ cross-bridge travel; please understand and cooperate.
During the typhoon, residents are advised to minimize outdoor activities and proactively avoid all types of risks.
