Tieding Liuliu - Chinese traditional medicine
“Surprisingly so, in addition to experiencing the fun of farming, we can see such a spectacular Dendrobium forest.” Recently, Alex, our video blogger from the UK, said to the selfie lens while visiting the Tieding Liuliu Paradise in Xiashantou Village, Dajing Town, Yueqing City.
In addition to Alex, Jonny, a street photographer from the United States, participated in the event of the overseas communication group’s tour in Yueqing. It is reported that the "Tieding Liuliu" paradise covers an area of about 2,000 acres. It is a pastoral complex project with Dendrobium officinale (a kind of Chinese traditional medicine) as its core and integrates themed amusement, pastoral leisure, residence & vacation, and popular science education. The name of the paradise comes from the combination of Dendrobium and Liuliu (slide slide). When experiencing the pastoral leisure project, Alex and Jonny visited the Gengle Pavilion, which displays traditional farming customs, and made puffed rice by themselves, enjoyed the projects as blue clip valerian dyeing cloth, hand-grinding soy milk. What’s more, the special delicacy made on site as rice cakes, lotus jelly, bean curd, etc., really amazed them.

In addition to the farming experience, the overseas communication group also tried the thrilling project - Hu Liuliu. The Hu Liuliu pipes are meandering from the top of Hutou Mountain to the foot of the mountain, with a total length of more than 1,620 meters. The tourist just slide down with the help of the gravity during the whole process. It makes this sliding experience totally different from other roller coaster projects. Alex exclaimed: "I really want to try it again!"

In addition to the above-mentioned projects, there is China’s largest Dendrobium forest here with a total number of 1,800 trees. The foreign anchors not only visited the various cultivation methods of Dendrobium candidum in the area, but also learned about the characteristics and varieties of Dendrobium and experienced the making of Dendrobium mask.

Dendrobium officinale is a perennial orchidaceae herb. There are 1,500 species in the world. Among them, 76 species as dendrobium officinale, dendrobium nobile, dendrobium chrysanthum wall and dendrobium loddigesii rolfe,etc. are the most precious species in China. 46 of them have been planted in Yueqing. Dendrobium officinale, which is currently a Grade 2 protected plant in China, has precious health and medicinal value.
