Dec. 21 is the Winter Solstice, an important Chinese traditional festival. This afternoon, foreign friends from the United States, Britain, Mauritius, Ghana and other countries and representatives of overseas Chinese in Wenzhou gathered together at the Wenzhou Overseas Media Center for holding a special cultural exchange activity between China and foreign countries. At the scene, the bilingual video program "Winter Solstice Festival in Wenzhou" just completed by Wenzhou Overseas Media Center was played and presented to all the friends at home and abroad. In the video, Zhu Ming, the Wenzhou folklore expert, explained the customs of the Winter Solstice and led the British anchor Alex to experience the making of Tangyuan. 
Foreign friends were appointed as " Ambassadors for Wenzhou International Internet Cultural Communication"
During the event, volunteers from Hongri Pavilion, the Wenzhou's charity landmark, also invited all the participants to make Tangyuan by their own hands. Alex, the protagonist of the video, said that it’s the third time for him to make Tangyuan, so he is very familiar with it now. And theforeign anchors who have not made glutinous rice balls before, exclaimed: "Tangyuan taste really delicious, but it is not easy to make!"
Mei Zeyong, a national first-class artist who has lived in Austria for more than 10 years, painted and wrote Chinese traditional blessing word "福" for everyone on the spot, showing the charm of traditional Chinese calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting, and giving his works to the participants.
