WenzhouDaily awarded as Zhejiang International Culture Exchange Base
On Dec. 4, the “2020 International Culture Exchange Week”, which was titled "Focus on Zhejiang" and hosted by Zhejiang Provincial Culture & Tourism Department, was launched in Shaoxing, an ancient city of Zhejiang.
At the launching ceremony, 7 units in Zhejiang province were listed as Zhejiang International Culture Exchange Base. Wenzhou Overseas Media Center (WenzhouDaily) was listed among them. It’s also the only selected unit in Wenzhou.
In the first half of this year, Zhejiang Provincial Government launched the construction of the "Zhejiang International Culture Exchange Base", focusing on international exchanges & cooperation, overseas cultural communication and international image building-up, to reflect the characteristics of Zhejiang and the image of China.
It is reported that over the years, Wenzhou Overseas Media Center (WenzhouDaily) has established an international volunteer team, which is mainly composed of foreigners. At the same time, it has created an international media matrix composed of more than 40 domestic and foreign media outlets, and produced the original bilingual video program "Meet China" , which is aimed to introduce China from the perspective of foreigners.
