Recently, Ilham, an Italian-Moroccan girl who lives in Wenzhou, is getting popular! She was video-interviewed many times by the Italian TV show in which she shared her recent life in China and gave an account of some stories taken place in the battle against the pandemic in China with the hope of foreign countries can learning some experiences from them.

Recently, Ilham, an Italian-Moroccan girl who lives in Wenzhou, is getting popular! She was video-interviewed many times by the Italian TV show in which she shared her recent life in China and gave an account of some stories taken place in the battle against the pandemic in China with the hope of foreign countries can learning some experiences from them. After the TV show was broadcast, she received widespread praises at home and abroad, and CCTV has also reached out to her. On November 10, she was invited to visit the Wenzhou Overseas Media Center and was appointed as “Volunteer for Wenzhou International Internet Cultural Communication”.

Ilham also told us that she is more and more passionate about her life in China and has a deeper understanding of Chinese culture. After being appointed as “Wenzhou Overseas Communicator” and “Ambassador for Wenzhou International Internet Cultural Communication”, she will be more active to involve herself into the cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, making use of the lens in her hands to record the beauty in our daily lives, promoting Wenzhou to Italy, and introducing the charm of Chinese culture to the whole world.

Ilham has lived in China for less than a year and is currently working as a foreign teacher in Wenzhou. She said that she particularly likes Chinese culture and scenery. Whenever she has free time, she always walks around and takes photos. She has been to a lot of Chinese cities as Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Xiamen and Quzhou. On weekdays, she also shares what she has seen and heard in China and her own life on overseas social media platforms for making more people abroad know a real China. Because she incessantly uploaded her real life onto social media platforms during the period of the pandemic, the Italian TV Network contacted and did this video-interview with her.
