Anyone who live in China definitely understand the beauty of cheongsam - the traditional Chinese costumes. However, can you imagine how beautiful it would be had more than 300 women wore all kinds of cheongsam? WenzhouDaily (Wenzhou Overseas Publicity Base) launched such a special event on the afternoon of June 2nd. Wonderful performances appeared successively during the the whole event, not only the cheongsam flash, but also the cheongsam catwalk show. The foreigners invited to participate in the event chanted “stunning” all the time. 

  Among the 300 people performing yesterday, there are Wenzhou overseas Chinese from Germany, Portugal, France and other countries and regions, as well as local cheongsam-enthusiasts in Wenzhou. In order to carry out the recording of the flash program  "The Song of the Yangtze River", WenzhouDaily even arranged for them to record the program in the studio of the radio station. At the beginning of the event at 2 o'clock in the afternoon yesterday, 300 women wearing various colors of cheongsam surrounded the gallery of the overseas publicity base and sang "The Song of the Yangtze River". Through the lens of the photographer and the camera, the charm of the cheongsam was stunning the whole city.

   They went on stage to perform cheongsam show, ancient instrument performance, Hanfu performance, etc., during the whole event. WenzhouDaily conducted a global webcast from the first minute to last.

   Indian students from Wenzhou Medical University said that the cheongsam contained the traditional Chinese culture. He and his several classmates, for the first time, sew the traditional cheongsam yesterday and enjoyed the unique charms of this traditional Chinese costume. It is very meaningful to participate in such activities.

  One of the organizers of the event, Ms.fang, a Wenzhou-origin overseas Chinese from France, said that they have organized cheongsam shows in 10 countries including France, Spain and the Netherlands in Europe. Many foreigners also very fond of it. In the future, she will show more Chinese traditional culture to overseas.
