On June 11, the fourth session of GlobalFace Youth Talk, a series organized by the Wenzhou Maritime Silk Road International Communication Base (International Youth Entrepreneurship Park), was successfully held. The event featured Jos (Wang xi), an entrepreneur from the Netherlands, who delivered a practical and forward-looking presentation on the theme “How AI Can Empower Business.” The session attracted international entrepreneurs and innovators eager to explore the growing role of artificial intelligence in business development.

With more than 30 years of experience in information technology, Jos previously managed trading systems for the Amsterdam Stock Exchange and spent a decade as a management consultant at leading European IT consulting firms. Having lived and worked in Wenzhou for the past 15 years, he is currently involved in cutting-edge projects such as AI-powered body measurement solutions for the apparel industry, helping bridge advanced technology and local manufacturing.

During the presentation, Jos shared his hands-on experience with AI applications in business, covering topics such as practical use cases, productivity-enhancing techniques, and potential data security risks. He also introduced digital collaboration tools widely used in China, including Feishu (Lark), and explained how these platforms can help international entrepreneurs adapt more quickly to China’s digital working environment.

The interactive discussion that followed sparked lively conversations among participants. Questions focused on AI tool selection, data privacy protection, and the cost of implementing AI solutions for startups and small businesses. Attendees noted that the session broadened their understanding of AI, provided actionable insights they could apply immediately, and inspired new ideas about how AI can support sectors ranging from cross-border trade to local services.
