To further facilitate cross-border travel between China and other countries, China has decided to expand the scope of visa-exempt countries. From June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026, ordinary passport holders from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay will be allowed to enter China without a visa for business, tourism, family visits, exchanges, or transit, provided their stay does not exceed 30 days. Those who do not meet the visa exemption requirements must obtain a valid Chinese visa prior to entry.
