On Apr. 18, "Love Without Borders: Foreign Doctor Couple Shares Life in China”, a narrative short video about a foreign couple’s life and fight against the pandemic in Wenzhou, attracted the attention of many CPC central media, and was recommended by them to the whole world. The cumulative reading volume in just two days has exceeded 5 million.
Sumayyah Hosany from Mauritius and Hamad Abdul Zahi from Pakistan, the foreign doctor couple and anchors from Wenzhou Overseas Media Center, are now working at an international hospital in Wenzhou. At the beginning of 2020, as the COVID-19 was ferociously raging the entire world, they chose to stay in hospital and voluntarily joined the volunteer team to fight side by side with the medical personnel in the front line during China's battle against the pandemic.
In our previous phase of video-filming, in addition to Sumayyah, the film crew of Wenzhou Overseas Media Center also filmed the life and work stories of many foreign anchors like Ilham, a girl from Morocco. All these video have been broadcast on multiple overseas and domestic platforms.
