Jiangxin Island, one of China's four most famous islands, known as the "Island of Chinese Poetry"will reopen on Oct. 1st! 


On the evening of Sept. 29th, a Mid-Autumn Festival Friendship Party organized by the CPPCC Lucheng District of Wenzhou was held here. Several foreign friends were invited to participate and wonderful art performances were staged on site.

The remarkable art performances include, Pipa & Guzheng Instrumental Duet: "A Moonlit Night on the Spring River"


Chorus: "My Motherland and Me"


Brett, a representative of international students from South Africa, brought his band here and made the opening.


During the party,Brett and Michaela sang the Wenzhou dialect song "Wenzhou is a Good Place" for everyone on the spot.


In addition, “Travelling in the Garden · The Dream Interrupted”, the excerpt from the Yue Opera “Peony Pavilion” and the Chinese classical poetry art song "Autumn Wind"solo "The Moon is Looking at Me" enormously added luster to the friendship party.


Jiangxin Island, located in Lucheng District, Wenzhou City, is a national 4A tourist attraction. It has been well-known in the Southern and Northern Dynasties (A.D. 420-589). With a history of more than 1,500 years, Jiangxin Island has enjoyed the good reputation as "Paradise on Oujiang River"


Furthermore, it has the Jiangxin Temple, a national key temple built over 800 years ago.


and more than 800 poems written by famous poets of various generations such as Li Bai, Meng Haoran and so on.


Jiangxin Island’ renovation formally began in June last year. If you come to the reopened Jiangxin Island, starting your feet from the east side of the East Garden and heading west, you will pass through the ancient banyan tree
