The Historical & Cultural Block of Wuma Street - Mochi Lane is located in the southeast of the ancient city. It is the main block of  "the southern bazaar,the eastern temple" in the  layout of the ancient city, and also the largest and most well-preserved historical block in the ancient city. lt consists of Wuma Street sub-block, Jiefang Street sub-block and Mochi Lane sub-block.

The block covers a total area of 64.89 hectares, which starts in the west at Fuqian Street , goes south to Chaiqiao Lane, Shamaohe, Fuxue Lane, and is bounded in the east by the piedmont of Huagai mountain, Xianhou Lane, Zhaoxian Lane, Jiefang Street and the narrow lanes in the range of 20-80 meters east of Jiefang Street.
