When the national anthem of People's Republic of China is echoing in your ears, or when you are watching the five-starred red fluttering in the wind, have you ever wondered how this five-star red flag was designed? In today's episode, let's follow Alexandra, a foreign anchor of “Hai’ou Community”, to visit the Rui’an National Flag Education Hall, exploring its story.

In recent years, Rui’an has been committed to building a national historical & cultural city, developing and protecting historical culture, and combining traditional culture with modern culture. The National Flag Education Hall was built in Xishan, Rui’an in 2019. The exhibition hall has 4 storeys with a total construction area of 2,600 square meters. At National Flag Education Hall, Alexandra learned about the story of the birth of five-starred red flag. Zeng Liansong, the designer of the national flag, drew inspiration from a melody of Shanghai opera "We are crying out for the stars and the moon", and created a five-starred flag showing that 4 small stars surround the big one. In addition, Huang Wenda, a student of Rui’an Primary School, introduced to Alexandra the symbolic meaning of the 5 stars on the national flag, which impressed her so much.
