"I am very fortunate to be able to celebrate the Chinese New Year in Rui’an. It not only makes people feel the charm of Chinese traditional culture, but also shows us a youthful Rui'an with vigorous vitality." Recently, Michael (Taiyang), a  Ghanaian anchor of the Wenzhou Overseas Media Center shared his feelings after experiencing the "New Year" activities in Rui’an.

Taiyang has been in China for 5 years, and he loves Wenzhou's folk customs very much. During the video-filming, at the "Former Residence of Sun Yirang" in Paidai Street, he appreciated the lively waist-drum performance and the Ruian's intangible cultural heritage - "floor lamp". What's more, he made rice cakes and wrote Spring Festival couplets with his own hands. After leaving Pandai Street, Taiyang came to Rui'an's famous Yuhai Historical and Cultural District, where he wore Hanfu and made wooden handcraft articles while participating in young people’s “New Year”activities in Rui'an.
