On the occasion of the 2021 Spring Festival, Wenzhou Overseas Media Center launches a series of activities titled "Handshake with the World·Listen to the Voices of Wenzhou", leading foreign anchors and overseas communicators to successively visit Wenzhou’s internet-famous sites characterized with delicious food, brilliant culture, beautiful scenery, etc., for showing the happiness and atmosphere of Spring Festival in Wenzhou with 10 voices. Today, we release the Ghanaian boy Percy’s visit to the Wenzhou’s charity landmark- Hongri Pavilion. What he brings is Wenzhou's public welfare voice.

The protagonist of the video is Percy from Ghana. As a new Wenzhou citizen, he has got a family in Wenzhou and devotes himself into public welfare. He has participated into the public service activities held in Hongri Pavilion many times.

According to Sun Lanxiang, the lady in charge of Hongri Pavilion, as the Chinese New Year approaches, the Hongri Pavilion Public Welfare Team insists on providing warm ginger tea and porridge to the citizens every day. The staff often get up at 4:00 before dawn to make ginger slices and cook tea with the hope of offering warmth to every Wenzhou citizen in the cold weather.

In addition to the Hongri Pavilion, the Wenzhou Overseas Media Center will enter more Wenzhou's internet-famous districts and experience various special folk cultural projects to fully display the beauties of Wenzhou's ecology, economy and culture.

The series of activities titled "Handshake with the World·Listen to the Voices of Wenzhou" was launched on Dec. 21, 2020 at Wenzhou Overseas Media Center. This special planning event was hosted by the Information Office of Wenzhou Municipality Government and Wenzhou Cyberspace Administration, and organized by Wenzhou Overseas Media Center, the Information Office of Lucheng District Government (Lucheng Cyberspace Administration), and Lucheng “Rong” Media Center.
