The Classification of applicants and the Application Materials for Foreigner’s Work Permit in China.
Classification of applicants
1. Foreign High-level Talents (Category A) refer to those scientists, science and technology leading talents, international entrepreneurs, special talents who meet the orientation of “high-levels, elites, top leaderships, and urgently-needed people” and market demands and can contribute to China’s economic and social development, and those who conform to the score-based system, with no limits of age, academic qualification or working experience. 2. Foreign Professionals (Category B) refer to those professionals who are in line with the “Foreigners Employed in China Guide Catalog” and the corresponding urgent demands of the economic and social development of China, and have a bachelor degree or above and 2 years and above related work experience, 60 years old or less. The limits in terms of age, academic degree or work experience may be relaxed for those who are specially needed, those regarded as innovative entrepreneurial talents, professional and technical talents, and in line with the scoring system, and the executors of intergovernmental protocols or agreements. Other provisions, if any, regarding professionals and governmental project personnel shall be followed preferentially.

3.Other foreign personnel (Category C) refer to other foreign personnel who meet the needs of the domestic labor market and the requirements of national policies. Please see the details in the Classification Criteria for Foreigners Working in China (Trial).

Application Materials for Foreigner’s Work Permit in China
  Basic requirements for application materials: Non-Chinese materials must provide Chinese translations (except passports or international travel documents) and be stamped with the official seal of the employer. All original paper materials and Chinese translations must be clear and complete in text, and should be uploaded to the online system as scanned documents. If the content of the translation is seriously inconsistent with the original, the acceptance or decision-making agency may request the employer to provide it again.
