The east section of the S1 Line opened in operation this year. It takes only half an hour from the Airport Station to the South Railway Station. The fare is 9 yuan.
In contrast, if the citizens choose to take the ride-hailing cars from the airport T2 terminal to the South Railway Station, although the distance and time are similar to the S1 Line, the cost is more than 80 yuan.
And for those choosing the airport bus or bus, the cost can be saved, but it takes at least one hour.
The “interchange” at the Airport Station between S1 Line & S2 Line
On the basement 2 floor of the Airport Station, we notice that one side of the platform is the already built S1 Line train tracks (from the Airport Station to the South Railway Station), and the other side is reserved for the S2 Line train tracks.
The station staff explains that the Airport Station is designed to be an interchange station in the future, and citizens taking the S1 Line and the S2 Line can make the interchange on this platform.
After the S2 Line is opened, the citizens who take the S2 Line to the Airport Station, if they want to go to the urban district or the South Railway Station, do not need to drag their baggage and take a long way to another platform, just go to the other side of the platform and take the S1 Line.
