On July 30th, Wenzhou International Youth Entrepreneurship Park held the promotion ceremony for helping Wenzhou's fine products go global. 5 local Wenzhou enterprises signed cooperation agreements with foreign entrepreneurs. By leveraging foreign entrepreneurs’ channels and vitality, Wenzhou’s high-quality brands and products will accelerate their journey to go global.
Wenzhou International Youth Entrepreneurship Park was officially established on June 30th this year. It is the first international park in Wenzhou featuring foreigners, foreign enterprises, foreign investment and foreign trade. With the strong support of the Wenzhou Exit-Entry Administration, it has also become a pilot for the "entrepreneurship visa" policy for foreigners in Wenzhou and even in southern Zhejiang, opening up a brand-new window for international youth to start businesses in Wenzhou.
At present, more than ten enterprises have settled in the park with business covering multiple fields such as cultural media, live-streaming sales, cross-border e-commerce, international logistics, and import and export trade. “Many enterprises in the park have told us that they are not familiar with the product information and urgently need to find supplies. However, what Wenzhou is least short of are enterprises that manufacture products.” Xu Penghuai, the person in charge of the Wenzhou Maritime Silk Road International Communication Base (formerly Wenzhou Overseas Media Center), the operator of the park, said that the operation team has visited Ouhai, Pingyang and other places many times, actively seeking the possibility of cooperation with local enterprises.
To help foreign entrepreneurs in the park establish better connections with local enterprises in Wenzhou, the Wenzhou Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology takes the initiative to act as matchmakers and has precisely connected with several local enterprises. The cooperation covers multiple fields such as textile machinery, cultural supplies, shoes and clothing, and pet supplies.
“Expanding overseas markets has always been the strategic direction of our company.” Mr. Chen, the person in charge of Zhejiang Chaolong Textile Machinery Co., LTD., said that Chaolong mainly deals in non-woven fabric manufacturing equipment and has established a certain market foundation in countries such as Brazil and Russia. “We look forward to exploring more possibilities through this cooperation, whether it's foreign trade sales or brand promotion.”
Zhejiang Bedijia Pet Food Technology Co., LTD., a subsidiary of Semir Group, also has the ambition to "go global". Zhu Yueqin, the person in charge, admitted frankly, "At present, our business mainly focuses on the domestic market. We are actively planning to enter the international market."
Eze, who hails from Nigeria in Africa, is an international entrepreneur. The Wenzhou Keris Trading Company he established covers business in tourism services, international logistics, as well as the foreign trade of electronic products, auto and motorcycle parts, Chinese tea and other products. At this promotion ceremony, Eze established initial contact with Zhejiang Yinghuang Agricultural Science and Technology Co., LTD., which mainly deals in Pingyang Huangtang Tea. He is looking forward to more in-depth cooperation in the future.
“We will take this promotion ceremony as a starting point and gradually build a high-quality resource pool for Wenzhou enterprises going global.” Xu Penghuai said that the next step is to widely collect information on high-quality enterprises in Wenzhou and expand the cooperation network. International enterprises that have settled in the park can select matching products from it, thereby helping more Wenzhou-made products go global.
