In those unnoticed days, the young man held onto his burning dream. The court became his second home, and days of grinding transformed him. His footwork in the post became smoother, his dunks more explosive, his shot blocking more decisive. In just three years, he evolved into a high-flying dunker.

In 2024, Dai hit his breakout season. He not only earned “Rui’an Basketball Tournament Dunk Champion” honors but also captained his high school team to the Pingyang County School Youth Basketball Championship.

After entering college, as a freshman, he helped his team finish runner-up in the ZUBA (Zhejiang University Basketball Association) Men’s Division B Group A, the province’s top tier for vocational colleges. He also carried his squad to second place in the CUBAL (Chinese University Basketball Association League) Tier 3 Southeast Regional Tournament, a national competition for non-athletic-major students at vocational colleges. In 2025, while competing in the ZJBA, Dai also led Shaoxing Vocational and Technical College to the championship in that same ZUBA division.

As the sun sets over mountains and seas, basketball lights his path forward. Dai’s basketball journey is just beginning. His fans firmly believe he’ll throw down even bigger posters on even bigger stages. Let’s watch and wait.
