Everyone likes island, yearning for its azure ocean, blue sky, golden sand and sunset. Johnny, a photographer from the United States, is no exception. Recently, he sent a special gift to his family on the other side of the ocean - a postcard of Dongtou scenery made by himself.

As a "new Wenzhounese" who has been living in Wenzhou for 6 years, Johnny like walking through Wenzhou’s streets and alleys with his camera, recording this city from his own unique perspective. The photos on this postcard were taken this summer. “Stepping on the soft sand, enjoying the sea breeze, walking on the long seaside walkway, I truly feel the endless charm of Dongtou Island.”said Johnny. The gorgeous and colorful seaside houses, the grand and imposing Wanghai Tower, and the glittering sunset at Er Hai, all of them moved him so much.

After coming back from Dongtou, he got the idea to make a special gift for his family by using these photos that he took in Dongtou, then he decided to make postcards. Firstly, he could let his family know more about the beauty of Wenzhou, the city he’s living. Secondly, he could write down his blessings on the postcards.

"I’ve taken a lot of photos over Wenzhou’s beautiful scenery. In addition to making postcards, I also hope to have an opportunity to hold a small photography exhibition, sharing them with more people. That’s my future plan" said Johnny.
